- Genre conventions evolve with the times since society at large evolves.

Genres are a constraint that boosts creativity. Knowing the genre conventions will help in playing with audience expectations.
- All genres in a sense are primal they appeal to something fundamental about the human experience (adventure, companionship ,society ,etc)
